If Only We Could Begin Again

According to the Mayan Tzolkin calendar we have begun the next 260 day cycle, just days before the New Year in our traditional calendar. Is there significance to this shift, other than making affirmations and resolutions? The glyphs and numbers point to beginning again on many levels.

In the perspective at time we are on an ever-increasing inward cycle. I see this as a spiritual awareness cycle, one I hesitate to describe as upward, though it includes higher vibrations. We can have empowerment through those higher vibrations without the ownership and understanding of those levels.

In order to fully possess the power given us we must have the “downward” or simplification cycle. What is that simplifying step? The full integration of our spiritual progress comes by moving in two directions at the same time.

Many speak of consciousness, and finding their spirituality. My belief is that we are spirit, which negates the idea that we become spiritual. We are spiritual, with consciousness and awareness on many levels outside this physical world.

How do we bring about our consciousness in our physical world? We do so by connecting to our world. Sounds a little backward, doesnt it? By connecting our time and space reality we draw more of our scattered awareness to the here and now. This is step one in creating a potent body mind spirit mix.

How does the Mayan calendar help us in our integration between body and spirit, and help us to grow into greater awareness? Each 260 day cycle contains many cycles, and these cycles pulse back and forth from the spiritual reminders to the physical influences. We are gently guided and given opportunity to make the most of each day. In order to rise to the next level we need to let go of the old.

Here we have a flow and balance between the yin and the yang, the physical and the spiritual. We can bring more of our focus into the present time experience, let go of the distractions we face, and bring a greater awakening to our experience of our spirituality in the body. Welcome to the world!
